Runaway Brain
• This disc starts with Mickey's first cartoon, and ends with his last. Runaway Brain was the first new Mickey short made in over 40 years. It was shown theatrically with A Kid In King Arthur's Court in 1995. It has more of a wild and zany Roger Rabbit feel to it. Mickey visits Doctor Frankenollie and has a brain transplant with a monster, thus turning him into Evil Mickey! It almost seems like someone other than Disney made it as a spoof. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. It's very funny, but because of the horrific portrayal of their corporate icon, Disney has tried to pretend it was never made.
